Educational Student Websites

Below are some great websites that students use in my classroom! They are great because they are interactive, educational, and fun!

Raz-Kids is a great website to keep your student reading all day! By clicking the link above you will be sent to the login page. Simply enter laperri4, select your students name and watch them earn points as they read!

Storyline Online is a classroom favorite! The website says it all when it states "Where Reading is Fun!" The website has a variety of great books that are read to you by someone who is well known. It is a great place to go to read and discuss books.

National Geographic Kids is a great site to find a variety of learning. Use this site to read articles about different animals, play math games, watch live polar bear videos and so much more! It is a great place for fun learning.

GoNoodle is used in our classroom for both physical and educational brain breaks. This site gets your child moving through fun activites. It also provides educational games that you can create yourself to prepare them for a test.

Stacks was created by scholastic as a way to get students interested in reading. By creating a log in your student will earn points by reading books, playing games and interacting with other students who are into reading as well. It is a safe and fun website that makes reading cool!

Scholastic News is a magizine that each student is provided with weekly. Common Core standards are covered in lessons and activites. This website provides additional games and activites to go with the magizine your student brings home. To access the login see our monthly newsletters.

When learning about geography and studnets place on the map we used google earth to discover where we lived. This website is great because it can take your student to places they only dreamed of seeing. It is great to explore this website to educate students on their place in the world.

Many times in the classroom I get the question "What does that word mean?" We started using this site as a research tool to answer our questions. This site is great for when they ask you that same question at home. It provides students the opportunity to learn new vocabulary words and their meaning.

Independent leveled books have become a big part of our literacy block at school and at home. It is often hard to know which books are "just-right" for our students to read. Book Wizard provides you with leveled books for your student. You can also research books you have to see which level they are.

Remind is a great way to communicate with students, parents, and teachers. When signing up with remind it gives you the opportunity to email or text your student's teacher without them seeing your number and without you seeing theres. If you are interested in signing up for Ms. LaPerriere's remind go to our classroom webpage here for directions.
